Zach Chandler
Founder & Managing Principal
Zach Chandler is the Founder and Managing Principal of Acer Investments, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy and oversees acquisitions, partnerships, and portfolio growth.
With nearly a decade of experience across institutional real estate, Zach has managed and structured deals for some of the largest single-family rental investors in the country. Before launching Acer, he held leadership roles at Opendoor and Mainstay, where he managed multi-million-dollar portfolios and developed pricing and revenue strategies that drove strong investor performance.
Zach began his career in multifamily real estate at SJ Fowler Real Estate in Phoenix, Arizona, working directly with investors on the acquisition and sale of 5-50 unit apartment buildings. He later joined Progress Residential, where he helped acquire more than $240 million in single-family assets nationwide.
A real estate investor since 2015, Zach combines institutional experience with hands-on investing expertise. He holds a B.S. in Justice Studies with a Minor in Real Estate from Arizona State University.

As an investor and advisor, Wes Herschberger brings decades of business leadership and strategic insight into the firm’s investment decisions and growth initiatives. Drawing on his extensive background in entrepreneurship, financial management, and organizational development, Wes helps guide the company’s efforts to identify strong opportunities, optimize operations, and build sustainable returns for investors.
Wes’s experience includes leading successful ventures in the technology and service sectors, where he developed a reputation for thoughtful analysis, ethical leadership, and long-term strategic planning. His advisory role with Acer reflects a shared commitment to integrity, community impact, and value creation through sound investment principles.
